Essential Functions:
• Provide technical support to our customers
• Resolve incident or projects assigned by management
• Answer incoming calls to resolve technical issues in a timely manner
• Test the software for bugs and enhancements
• Enter knowledge into Confluence
• Create service order requests for hardware and software
• Explain features and benefits of the software to our customers

JUNIOR DEVELOPER
Location: Henderson, NV 89074
Description:
Our Developer will be responsible for creating and enhancing our POS (point-of-sale) software products. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, willing to take initiative and able to learn new software technologies and languages quickly. The Developer will also be a team player who can interact with multiple departments including our Technical Support Specialists, QA Analysts, Installations Team, Training Department, Marketing and Sales Staff as well as customers and software consultants.
Responsibilities:
• Works with software development team to determine timelines and specifications for product versions, fixes and updates. Reviews given specifications to gain a full understanding of what is needed to be developed. Using specifications as a guide, determines and implements necessary software code modifications within timeframes given.
• Consults with Senior Developers in matters of architecture and additional third party components and libraries.
• Provides technical product expertise to other departments (Sales, Support, Quality Assurance, etc.) as needed.
• On occasion, consults directly with customers regarding their technical needs.
• Assists with testing to resolve complex problems that are found in the software.
• Constantly learns and updates technical knowledge including learning required software languages and development methodologies.
• Other duties as requested by manager.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
• Minimum of 1-2 years of programming experience
• Ability to write code and create programs with functionality that meets customer specifications.
• Proficiency in one of the following languages: C# .NET, C++ , Delphi
• Basic understanding of MS SQL or relational databases
• Familiarity with the following technologies/frameworks/IDEs is a plus: Visual Studio, Winforms, VCL, NUnit, NHibernate, MVC, ASP. NET, SVN, VMWare, Embarcadero CBuilder
• Enthusiasm to learn programming languages & retail industry, Point-of-Sale (POS) concepts
• Ability to complete projects on time
• Flexible with changing priorities.
