CAM is the leader in insuring pharmacies are compliant with the new IRS legislation requiring point of sale systems support the new IIAS (Inventory Information Approval System) requirements. Pharmacies must have implemented a compliant point of sale system before June 30, 2009 to continue accepting FSA credit cards. Pharmacy System Integration
Our software interfaces in real-time to pharmacy systems. As your prescriptions are filled by the pharmacy system, your CAM Commerce point of sale Prescription Tracking Software is instantly updated with the RX number, co-pay, patient name, etc. Your customer picks up the prescriptions and any OTC’s which are then scanned through the CAM point of sale, once the sale is complete, CAM’s Prescription Tracking Software is updated and a message is also sent back to your pharmacy system that the item has been picked up. CAM’s Prescription Tracking Software can give you a report of all outstanding unpaid prescriptions alphabetically which will allow you to audit your will call.

CAM also offers powerful retail house charge account software. The RX number, co-pay, and patient name are passed from the CAM point of sale directly to the house account. The statements that print out at the end of the month have this information, which can reduce the number of service calls related to confusing statements, and is often a requirement of institutional or nursing home accounts.
CAM Commerce Pharmacy POS Software gathers signatures for both RX signature logs and the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Policy (NOPP) and integrates this with your POS system for easy reference, reporting, and auditing. CAM gathers signatures, and stores each signature associated to proper customer, prescription number, and receipt. CAM backs-up (fully redundant) and archives all this information, eliminating paper storage and allowing easy retrieval and reporting.

The Gift Card Processing Module will increase sales and profitability while eliminating time-consuming processes that are necessary when you issue paper gift certificates.
You can offer your customers single gift cards or display the gift cards with j-hook carriers throughout your store. Remember, cards do not have value until activated.

In addition, the system also offers a very powerful custom report generator. This report generator is built exclusively for retailers and is included as part of the CAMPOS software suite.
