• Inventory Control – All softgoods based inventory is presented throughout the system in a size matrix format. The software works the way an apparel store does. This keeps report sizes to a minimum and expedites purchasing as multiple sizes and colors can be purchased on a single purchase order line.
• Point of Sale – Our POS program also supports size/color matrixes. The next time a customer ask if you have a particular product in a specific size, you’ll be able to see this information throughout your entire chain down to the size level.
• Frequent Buyer Program – Clothing shoppers love a deal! Our built-in loyalty system will have them coming back to your store for more as they earn points and the system automatically generates awards coupons.
• Gift Card Processing – Every retailer knows the quickest way to increase sales is to offer a gift card program, but many independents have found it too difficult and confusing. With Retail STAR, we’ve built it right into the software to take all of the difficulty out of it! You can load a card, tender a card, and check the balance of a card all within the software. • Purchasing – Continuing our built-in support for size & color matrixes, our purchasing module works the way you do with paper purchase order. Each style of product only occupies one line on the purchase order and then the sizes and colors flow horizontally. You simply fill in the purchase quantities for each size and color you want to order. Purchasing has never been quicker!
• Receiving – To keep the system as simple as possible, we use the same Purchasing screen to Receive goods. We just built all of the complexity into the background so you never have to see it or worry about it. It just works automatically! Complex calculations such as average Receiving Cost, or FIFO or LIFO methods are done for you automatically if you ever need them. Partial receivers, multi-store distributions, and linear programs (re-order point calculation) for restocking levels are also available for larger organizations or advanced buyers.
• Size & Width Matrixes – Retail STAR was designed right from the ground up to support sized based goods inherently. What this means to you is that your data will never be corrupt or represented linearly when are using the system.
• Custom Reporting – a report writer (i.e. Report STAR) designed specifically for retailers is built right into the software! Every known retailing calculation known within the retail industry is built into Report STAR. You simply point and click to choose the ones you want to see on your report and it becomes part of your system.
• Bar Code Printing – Retail STAR can use manufacturer barcodes or generate tickets internally. The software allows customized barcode tickets to be created and can include any information on the Inventory record and any type of graphic such as a corporate logo watermark.
• Scanning – Once your goods are barcoded, the rest of your operation will become automated through the use of scanners. Retail STAR supports scanning for re-orders, receiving, physical inventories, cycle counts, point of sale, gift registry and transfers.
• Credit Card Processing – Retail STAR saves you money by including integrated credit card processing. This saves retailers the cost and counter top space of dedicated credit card terminals. Payment management and training is also greatly reduced through the use of a single interface and one ticket approach.
• Customer Relationship Management – An entire CRM system is built into Retail STAR to help you service your customers more effectively.
