STAR Multi-site Communications
If you are a retailer or a merchant with multiple locations and sales channels, managing remote information can be a timely and complicated chore. STARComm keeps your business running as a single unit by automating this exchange of information. STARComm synchronizes or replicates all changes at each location with every other location within your business. This allows you to have an exact duplicate copy of the database located remotely at each of your physical locations. These can be stores, warehouses, mail order fulfillment houses, or your Internet eCommerce site. Even though you run your business from remote locations, it'll seem like you are under one roof with this seamless synchronization.
Replication can be configured in STARComm to execute automatically at a pre-designated time of day or multiple times per day. This technology is truly unique and operates on its own without any user intervention. Just make sure the computer is left on, and your data is synchronized with your other locations automatically.
STARComm also supports multiple communications paths and technologies. You can use ordinary modems and POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) lines, LANs or WANs, or the Internet for communicating. For larger organizations with many locations, STARComm can operate multiple modems simultaneously or use a web server to consolidate your information.
The scheduling capability of STARComm is so strong that we have extended its capabilities by allowing you to schedule other activities as well. You can also use the Scheduler to automatically run other applications, backups, utilities, and various reports contained within the system. The STARComm scheduler will act as an additional employee for you that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it doesn't take breaks!
